donated prizes for both junior competitions each receiving a set
of fly tying tools, scales and fly reel. |

- With
the” bookies” sitting
in anticipation of taking lots of money betting got under way.
Punters had mixed fortune , there were some who managed to
beat the bookie quite regularly with the cry “ it’s
the bookies money I'm working with “ while others
are still waiting for their horse to come in.

| - The Club secretary showed that
being at the bookies table was no advantage, he picked all the donkeys
to his dismay and the ridicule of his fellow bookies. |
| - The evening went well with a raffle
at half time plus buffet. Examples of prizes were 3 cortland rods,
1 powerhead rod, 1 snowbee rod all going to very grateful recipients. |
| - Racing recommenced after the break
and the stakes went up with some really catching the odds and beating
the bookie. The racing got quite serious when the runners for the
last race were auctioned off with bidding getting quite competitive
, with family members and friends trying to outbid one another . |

from the Royal hotel Girvan, Ayrshire Race Night services provided
the entertainment. The Committee would like to thank the Buzz pc

raffle prizes to make the evening a night to remember |
